In furtherance of dissertation research, the DAAD Short Term Research Grant facilitates residency for three months as a visiting scholar at the Arye Maimon Institute for Jewish History (AMIGJ) at Trier University. The dissertation project examines where, when, and why medieval and early modern cities in the Holy Roman Empire expelled their Jewish residents by utilizing quantitative and comparative historical methods and a new spatial database.
