Jessica Warren is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at the UW. She is interested in intergenerational and life course trajectories of wealth from demographic and political economy perspectives—in particular, how wealth (or the lack thereof) stratifies populations and cities and impacts families. As part of this work, she investigates the role of social policy, particularly around care, credit, and education, and how it works to entrench or alleviate existing wealth inequalities.
