Syed Wasif Azim

I am a visiting research scholar in the UW and a PHD research scholar in the University of Peshawar Pakistan. I m also working as a visiing faculty member in the department of Political Science, University of Peshawar Pakistan. I am teaching undergraduate Students and students of M.A level.

My reserach is primaraly related to explore the impacts of conflict and violence for Ethniciity, Ethnic and national identity and state. The case study is a conflict in Swat, Northern Pakistan and its impacts for Pakhtun population in the region. Moreover i have previous research articles on interpreation of religious texts of Jihad and conflict linked in the region. Culture, religion and the impcats for Women socio-political participation is anogher area where i have conducted research.
