Biography

Ph.D., Sociology, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 2023
B.A., Sociology/Gender Studies, New College of Florida, 2014

I am an Assistant Teaching Professor in Sociology. I teach courses on sexuality and gender, including classes on Trans Studies, LGBTQ Identities and Communities, the Sociology of Sexuality, and Gender in Contemporary Society, as well as core Sociology classes like Survey of Sociology and Social Problems. In the classroom, I use social construction to empower students to create change. As the anthropologist David Graeber said, "the ultimate hidden truth of the world is that it is something we make and could just as easily make differently."
