UW Writing Resources
Need some help with a writing assignment? During the academic year, there are numerous writing resources available on campus, including the following centers:
- Odegaard Writing Center 45 minute appointments are available on any writing assignment ranging from academic essays to personal statements. You can also schedule an appointment with a research librarian.
- Center for Learning and Undergraduate Enrichment (CLUE) Writing Center Tutors are available from 7 pm-11 pm on weeknights. They can help with every stage of the writing process, including brainstorming ideas to polishing final drafts.
- Instructional Center Open daily from 9 am- 5 pm, the center is staffed by instructors and tutors from a broad range of academic backgrounds. Students with writing assignments from any undergraduate course are welcome to visit at any time during the process of conceptualizing and writing a paper.
Citation Resources
- Check with your professor about what citation style you are expected to use. Common styles include: MLA, Chicago, and Humanities
