The US Agency for International Development (USAID) partnership grant, entitled Advancing Democracy and Promoting Transformations with Information Technology (ADAPT-IT) will fund a partnership between the Jackson School of International Studies, the Information School, Microsoft, the US government and various Myanmar stakeholders working to support Myanmar’s reform process, increase civic engagement among the populace, and expand Myanmar’s economic horizons. Sara Curan, director of the UW Center for Global Studies and adjunct Associate Professor of Sociology, will co-direct the grant.
