Daniela Kızıldağ earned a BA in Philosophy and Sociology, and her MA in Sociology from Bogazici University in Turkey.
Daniela’s current research interests explore whether the implementation of energy transition projects exhibits distinct socioeconomic patterns that reflect structural inequalities, and investigate the environmental vulnerabilities and communities’ adaptive capacity associated with said transition projects.
Daniela also volunteers for animal welfare and likes to watch horror movies with lots of jump scares.
Yuanxi Li earned a B.S. in Informatics and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Washington.
Her research interests include demography, health disparities, computational social science, and social networks. She is especially interested in how social and demographic factors shape health behaviors and contribute to differences in health outcomes across populations.
Outside of academia, Yuanxi enjoys cycling, exploring coffee shops, and writing poetry.
Zhiwo (Suzy) Xu earned her M.Sc. in Sociology from the University of Oxford. She previously earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), with a minor in Film, Television, and Digital Media.
Her research interests include family, social demography, inequality, and health and well-being. Suzy is particularly interested in how intimate relationships and family processes shape individuals’ experiences and outcomes across the life course.
In her free time, Suzy enjoys shopping, traveling, making friends with every dog and cat she meets, and sleeping in whenever possible.
