René Flores is our newest faculty colleague. René is a PhD from Princeton University (2014) and has spent the past two years as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Scholar at Michigan.
René's research is in the areas of immigration, race and ethnicity, and social stratification. His work has appeared in American Sociological Review, Social Forces, and Social Problems, among others. This Fall Quarter he'll be teaching a new undergraduate course on immigrants in the US (see Soc 201: Immigrant America). (See his faculty page on our site for more information).
