Alexes Harris Receives Arnold Foundation Grant to Study Monetary Penalities

Professor Harris received a grant from Laura and John Arnold Foundation to extend her work on the criminal justice system and the role of court/judicial ordered monetary penalties and fees.   The nearly $4 million dollar grant allows for a multi-site design to extend her original work based on Washington State.   Alexes was recently invited to the White House (along with Professor Hedy Lee) to present her work at a DOJ/White House panel on monetary sanctions.   See both stories regarding the new Arnold Foundation grant and the White House conference at the two links below:
