Alexes and Hedy were invited by the Obama administration to participate in a Department of Justice/White House event focusing on criminal justice reform. The event include a session on the "Cycle of Incarceration: Prison, Debt and Bail Practices." Both incarceration and court fees/fines are areas of expertise of our two colleagues and both have contributed substantially to the growing literature in these areas.
