Rethinking Data Science for the Social Sciences:  Social Inequality and Health

Event is held on Wednesday Nov. 18th at 12:30-2:30 Kane Hall 225

An iterdisciplinary panel sponsored by the UW Stice Lecture Series, the Information and Society Center, and the Center for Statistics in the Social Sciences Weekly Seminar Series. 

The availability of new forms of data has transformed the way researchers may approach their work across disciplines.  This panel will bring together experts from data science and the social sciences who are utilizing new and exciting forms of data to discuss the opportunities and challenges of using these data to study fundamental questions in sociology pertaining to health.
